zach rubin - founder & Ceo

After spending five years as Director at the New York City commercial real estate firm Newmark Knight Frank, Zach Rubin learned firsthand the inefficiencies and complexities property owners face when seeking to manage their energy costs. In 2010 he co-­founded THiNKnrg to make it simpler for organizations to minimize their utility expenditures, while also reducing their carbon footprint. After successfully selling THiNKnrg Zach has been a critical member in founding Komuna and serves as CEO.

Eduardo Manzur - executive advisor

Eduardo has a passion for the energy industry along every step of its value chain. He is responsible for corporate development, providing guidance in the long-­‐‑term strategic and financial decisions for the company in terms of management, investing, and project development.  Eduardo has ~10 years of first-­‐‑hand energy industry experience in a broad range of roles including engineering, business development and investment banking at General Electric, Kinder Morgan, Deutsche Bank, and Goldman Sachs. Eduardo holds a BS in Mechatronics from the Tecnologico de Monterrey, an MS in Engineering from Southern Methodist University, and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.    

 

jon epstein - project developer

Jon is a project developer at Komuna, but has experience in sales, project management, purchasing, and financial modeling. Jon spent two years with THiNKnrg and has developed a strong network of clients in both the lighting efficiency and solar sectors. Jon has a crucial role in the continued growth of Komuna'ʹs pipeline as it strives to reach its 100 MW goal.

Kevin west - engineer

Since 2007, Kevin West has been involved in the Design and Engineering Departments of solar companies. He as overseen all types of PV projects (ground mount, trackers, rooftop generation or overhead canopies) from cradle to grave, excelling in design, construction, and engineering. Kevin has personally handled all aspects of each project including architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical and structural. Before moving into the renewable sector, Kevin spent almost 4 years in professional motorsports. During that time, he was promoted from race car builder/mechanic to trackside engineer, CAD drafter and radio communications lead.

 

 

Craig Pulver - financial analyst

Craig has been involved in the energy industry since 2012. He spent three years at Kinder Morgan, the nation’s largest natural gas pipeline operator, as a project manager. He personally managed over $40 million in capital and operational projects. Prior to joining Komuna energy Craig worked for two years at THiNKnrg in the renewables sector in an advisory role. His focus is to increase project efficiency, optimize operational processes, manage project finances and review annual budgets. Craig graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University and is pursuing his MBA at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
